The club approached us needing an outdoor PA system to complement their recently installed outdoor LED screen. They required weatherproof speakers capable of projecting sound across the football oval, along with two long-range wireless microphones.
SITE VISIT DISCUSSIONS
Kyle and Enzo conducted a site visit and met with Geelong Legend Dave McLaurin. Measurements, photos, and extensive notes were taken during this visit.
CHALLENGES FACED
The main challenge was ensuring optimal microphone reception, as the main AV equipment was located inside the club rooms, while the microphones needed to transmit sound from the middle of the oval back to the clubhouse.
PROPOSED SOLUTIONS
We proposed long-throw outdoor music horns along with a commercial-grade wideband wireless microphone system. Additionally, two outdoor wireless mic paddle antennas were installed under eaves to enhance transmission/reception. These solutions were chosen because they best addressed the client’s requirements and challenges.
SUMMARY
The client was satisfied with the single option we provided. The system was successfully used for upcoming matches and the subsequent ANZAC day ceremony, receiving praise from all attendees. High Fives all-round we say 😊
